LEONBERG — The literary map of the town has gained a splendid new work. Leonberg-based author Anna-Mariia Kostiuk has officially presented her new children’s book, «Sonja und die Mondfee». The book is the fruit of months of passionate work and of a special creative collaboration.

A family art project

The book’s visual design gives the story a depth all of its own. The enchanting illustrations that bring Sonja’s world to life, as well as the official book trailer, are the work of the author’s husband, Vitalii Kostiuk. A special moment at the town hall

A milestone for the project was the visit to Leonberg town hall. Together with her husband, Anna-Mariia Kostiuk personally presented the town’s Lord Mayor, Tobias Degode, with a copy of the book as a gift.

For the author, the occasion was far more than a formality – it symbolises her deep bond with her home town. With that, the story of Sonja and the moon fairy has now officially become part of Leonberg’s present-day history as well.

“It is a wonderful feeling to know that Sonja’s story has now found its place in our town. This recognition motivates me all the more to keep creating magical worlds for readers young and old”, says the author.
